I'm sitting here on a bench, staring at the fallen leaves.
It was our bench.
No matter whether it was warm or cold, early in the morning or in the middle of the night, I never sat here alone.
I was here with you, almost every day.
You tought me so much on this bench.
You tought me that we were all equal.

You said that there was no difference between us.

I noticed that I wasn't like all the others. I'm black, you're all white. But I was too young to understand. And when I did, you told me that it didn't matter.

And I learned to ignore it. When the other children teased me, you were there for me, every day, and you showed me that you were right.
I learned to defend myself, because you said I was able to.

And now I'm sitting here, all alone. There's noone who tells me what to do, who brightens me up, who tells me I would make it.
But there's a difference.
In the past I didn't get along alone. Now I do.
Because you showed me how.
I miss you.

I once wrote this story for my english lesson. I totally forgot about it, until I saw your picture. I searched through all my school stuff until I found it, because I wanted to show it to you so badly.
Because it fits perfectly to your picture. Originally I wrote it on the basis of another picture. Yours is just as beautiful.
I love the colours. I love how we don't see the whole bench, how the path leads out of the picture. I love the suare.
I just love your picture so much.
I like the violet hue of the bench (which can also be seen in the trunks and shadows) contrast nicely to the orange in the leaves—which brings me to the point of the appropriately named title. If I recall correctly, geoluhread is an old word for reddish yellow? Being an old word, this photo with it's retro style cut gives me a feeling of memories gone by.
Great job.
